The Duck Room is a 340-seat live music venue at Blueberry Hill restaurant in St. Louis, Missouri. It is one of the main attractions in the entertainment district known as The Loop and hosts national touring acts, comedians, local up-and-comers, and cover bands.
Parking and Public Transportation at the Duck Room
Limited street parking is available up and down The Loop, and large parking lots are situated at both ends. The 500-space lot directly across the street from the Duck Room, behind Market Pub House and Cicero's, is most ideal.
From the Metrolink, exit at the Delmar Loop station and walk three blocks west. You can't miss Blueberry Hill's prominent, lively marquee.
Getting Tickets to the Duck Room
Tickets for many acts sell out quickly (within a week). Whenever possible, order them in advance via Blueberry Hill's website or at any Ticketmaster outlet. You can also buy tickets in advance from a bartender. For shows that aren't sold out, you can purchase your ticket at the door the night of the show.
Types of Concerts at the Duck Room
The Duck Room is well-known for having hosted local legend Chuck Berry on many occasions, but it is also a popular venue among touring acts in the jazz, blues, and indie rock genres. Rock, punk, and hip-hop acts with strong "cult" followings sometimes feature heavily in the Duck Room calendar as well. All shows are ages 21 and up.
Other Places to Visit Near the Duck Room
The Loop is dotted with bars, shops, and other live music venues, including The Pageant, a larger venue that hosts similar acts. The avant-garde, 1920's-style Tivoli Theatre is a 5-minute walk away as well.
Where to Stay Near the Duck Room
The Moonrise Hotel, a modern (but pricey) boutique adjacent to the Pageant, is your most convenient option. The many hotels in downtown St. Louis situated near Metrolink stations are viable options also.
Insider Tip for Visitors to the Duck Room
Seating varies from performance to performance. At many shows, no more than a couple dozen seats are available. Line up early if you are opposed to standing for the show's duration.
