Founded in 1998, Community Partnership of the Ozarks works to promote positive community growth through collaboration, program administration and resource development. It focuses on children and child well-being, community and neighborhood development, and substance abuse and violence prevention. The agency provides alcohol and tobacco merchant education for individuals who sell tobacco and alcohol products. Community Partnership of the Ozarks substance abuse and violence prevention program includes efforts to reduce the abuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. It also administers methamphetamine awareness and prevention programs. Additionally, the agency offers training sessions and consultation services for city, county and local governments, as well as faith congregations, civic groups, prevention coalitions and human service organizations on a variety of topics. Community Partnership of the Ozarks is located in Springfield, Mo.
