Dr. Catherine Rapp is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon fellowship-trained in shoulder and elbow reconstruction. Dr. Rapp performs a variety of complex procedures in the shoulder and elbow including both anatomic and reverse shoulder replacements, elbow replacements, and minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures. Dr. Rapp also has extensive experience in sports medicine and athletic injuries gained during her time as an active duty Navy surgeon. She currently sees people of all ages with injuries to the shoulder, elbow, and knee as well as those in need of fracture care.Dr. Rapp earned her medical degree at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and went on to complete a residency at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA. Fellowship in advanced reconstruction of the adult shoulder and elbow was completed at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI. Dr. Rapp served in the U.S. Navy as a general orthopaedic surgeon in Sicily, Italy; Jacksonville, FL; and Kandahar, Afghanistan. This experience has been invaluable in helping Dr. Rapp better serve both military and civilian patients throughout her training and years in practice.
