HistoryThe California Veterinary Clinic (CVC) opened on July 5, 1979, shortly after Dr. Roger Borgmeyer graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri in Columbia. The clinic's original location was a former gas station on Highway 50, and was run by Dr. Borgmeyer and his wife, Peggy. In 1981, a new clinic was built on North Highway 87, which offered a large animal haul-in facility, a larger small animal service area, and boarding services. In 1983, an addition was added with a product display and dispensing area, an isolation ward and larger holding pens for large animal processing. Dr. Mark Oerly joined the staff in 1988, after he graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine University of Missouri in Columbia. Between Doctors Borgmeyer and Oerly, the CVC offers 55 years of experience, including 5 full-time staff members and several part-time staff to help meet the needs of our clients.
