West Kemper Elementary provides educational opportunities for students in kindergarten through grade six. It conducts science and reading fairs and black history and career day programs. The school also maintains a parent-teacher association. Hope Highlands Elementary School has an annual enrollment of more than 550 students and employs over 50 faculty and staff members. It administers accelerated reader, extended day, speech therapy and physical and special education programs. The school maintains a library that circulates books to students on a weekly basis and allows students to participate in book fairs. West Kemper Elementary is a part of Cranston Public Schools, which is a school district that serves more than in kindergarten through grade 12.
