M.M. Roberts Stadium is a stadium located in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on the campus of the University of Southern Mississippi. M.M. Roberts Stadium currently houses the NCAA team the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. The stadium opened as Faulkner Field on October 29, 1932 with the construction taking just over ten months at no cost because L.E. Faulkner donated all the materials and was constructed by unemployed workers. The latest renovation was in 2008, which added over 3,000 seats.
The Southern Miss Golden Eagles are members of the C-USA Conference of the within National Collegiate Athletic Association. They are known by their team colors consisting of black and gold. Their mascot is Seymour d’Campus. Past players include Brett Farve, Ray Guy and Reggie Collier.
The stadium currently holds 36,000 fans. Currently, it is the 88th largest stadium in the NCAA. The record fan attendance of 36,232 occurred on September 5, 2009 against Alcorn State. In terms of parking there is on-campus parking and satellite parking lots both containing general and reserved spots.
Season tickets are available with prices starting around $55. Individual tickets start at about $20 depending on the game. Tickets are available through the team website and ticket exchanges.
