Jackson County Health Department is a part of the Mississippi State Department of Health, which offers immunization, early intervention, and hearing screening and testing solutions. The state department provides treatment services for diabetes, arthritis, and breast and cervical cancers. The Mississippi State Department of Health also offers lead poisoning prevention and family planning solutions. The state department provides advocacy, consulting, psychosocial counseling and case management services, as well as educational programs related to health and human services issues.
