This almost 10-acre park hosts a variety of athletic facilities that serve the neighborhood, including baseball, tennis and softball fields, as well as a half-court for basketball . There's also a playground and wading pool for younger kids. Located between Kenny Community School and Susan B. Anthony Middle School, the neighborhood center hosts a variety of activities, including playgroups for younger kids or martial arts for their older siblings. The park (and surrounding neighborhood) is named in honor of Sister Elizabeth Kenny, according to David C. Smith's historical account of Minneapolis parks.
