HistoryCastaways Marina is a privately owned marina and dockominium, established in 1980. Seasonal and annual slip leases are also available to non-owners. Castaways is a year-round marina with a friendly and active boating community. The residents host many get-togethers, BBQ's and seasonal events. Nestled in nature, the location offers privacy and the serenity of woods and wildlife rarely experienced in the metropolitan area. Castaways is committed to environmental responsibility, including a modern pump-out system that can service boats while remaining in the slip. This system has received praise from the Army Corp of Engineers and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.SpecialtiesCastaways Marina Offers A Unrivaled Boating Experience! We are located on a side channel on the Mississippi River, in a quiet no wake zone, close to Downtown St Paul and Minneapolis. Nestled In Nature The marina is nestled in nature, with a private 85 acre island across the channel. Cross the channel to a private Island, Newport Island. Take nature walks, see baby deer, forage for morels and more. River Cruising Take a leisure cruise down the river, drop anchor and have a picnic on a sandy beach. Explore Mississippi River Regional Trail has bike paths connecting to downtown St. Paul. Within Walking Distance, there is Rock Island Swing Bridge Park. The park provides excellent views of the Mississippi River, walk out onto the pier and take in the views from the scenic overlook.
