Vann opened to rave reviews in August, 2019. After leaving Plymouth, Minnesota for classical training, Chef Erik Skaar returned to Minnesota to raise his family and realize his dream of having his own restaurant. He found the perfect location on the shore of Lake Minnetonka. Chef Skaar knew fine seafood would be front and center on his menu and the lakeside setting in Spring Park fit the bill. The space was intimate and featured a bank of picture windows, affording every table a water view. Six months later, Vann was a reality.
