Migrant Head Start Program offers child development programming for infants, children up to 5 years of age and their families. It develops services through staff members, parents and community partners. The program delivers services designed to foster healthy development in children from low-income families. It provides a wide range of individualized services in the areas of education, early childhood development, nutrition, and medical, dental, and mental health services. The program arranges developmental opportunities for ethnic, cultural and linguistic heritage of children and their families. Migrant Head Start is a program operated by the Tri Valley Opportunities Council, which is a private and nonprofit community action agency incorporated in 1965.
