It goes without saying that the most important part of any floating dock is the flotation. To keep its products afloat, ShoreMaster invests countless resources into flotation technology. Each flotation shell is rotationally molded from durable polyethylene for a seamless, one-piece construction. The polyethylene shells are then filled with expanded polystyrene foam, so they will not sink or contaminate the water, even if punctured. Its customized floating dock systems are seen all over the world, from small fishing piers to 300-slip marinas. The company also manufactures residential docks, boat lifts and hoists, dry docking systems for personal water crafts, as well as water toys, such as swim rafts, kayaks and water slides. ShoreMaster began selling all-aluminum boat lifts in 1972 some of which are still in use more than 30 years later.
