Jonathan C. Reid, MD
Jonathan C. Reid, MD, is a sports medicine physician who grew up in southern Minnesota where he attended Northfield High School and later St. Olaf College, graduating magna cum laude with a baccalaureate degree in biology and political science. After graduating from St. Olaf College, he accepted a joint internship position at the U.S. Department of State in Washington DC working on global health policy and security. Dr. Reid subsequently attended medical school at the University of Minnesota where he graduated with a dual degree in bioethics. Dr. Reid completed his residency in emergency medicine and went on to train at Loyola University in the area of clinical musculoskeletal medicine, earning a subspecialty certification in Sports Medicine. He is committed to caring for patients of all ages as they experience musculoskeletal injury and disease as well as working in the area of preventative medicine toward keeping his patients healthy and active throughout life. Dr. Reid developed a research collaborative with the Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago during training and continues to have a research focus on pediatric musculoskeletal health. Clinical areas of focus include pediatric and adolescent sport medicine, musculoskeletal procedures with the use of ultrasound guidance, and nonoperative fracture and regenerative medicine.
