The Minnetonka Historical Society is a non-profit organization tasked with preserving Minnetonka's past.
The Minnetonka Historical Society is located at the Burwell House, just east of the intersection of Minnetonka Boulevard and I-494. Dating from the 1870s, Burwell House is on the National Register of Historic Places and is also a designated Minnetonka Landmark. The house is a Victorian originally belonging to Charles Burwell, Manager of the Minnetonka Mill Company. It is open for tours from June through August, with Saturday tours only in May and September. Although tours are free, donations are encouraged.
The Minnetonka Historical Society is always on the lookout for volunteers.
