Fire Station #2 is located near the intersection of Hopkins Crossroad and I-394. It is one of five fire stations in the city of Minnetonka. Each station is strategically placed within the city so that every resident and business is no more than six minutes away from the closest firehouse. Besides putting out fires, enforcing fire codes and performing weekly drills, the firefighters spend time educating the community about fire safety.
Fire Station #2 is not staffed full-time because it is used by on-call personnel only. Equipment at this station includes one engine, one ladder truck and one mobile air support truck.
