Founded in 1988, Minnesota State Lottery is the official lottery association in Minnesota. The lottery provides secure gaming opportunities that are designed to maximize public participation and acceptance within the guidelines of the lottery statute. Headquartered in Roseville, Minn., it includes a computer system that provides accounting and ticket validation functions. Minnesota State Lottery offers a warehouse and office space that accommodates more than 105 employees who work in the areas of marketing, security, finance, legal and operations. The lottery also has four regional offices in Detroit Lakes, Marshall, Virginia and Owatonna, Minn. Minnesota State Lottery offers two types of lottery products that include scratch and online games. Its online games include the Powerball, Hot Lotto, Gopher 5, Daily and G3 games.
