Established in 1968, Minnesota State Colleges and Universities is comprised of more than 30 colleges and universities. It is governed by a 15-member board of trustees who are appointed by the governor. It provides a wide range of services for the students that include course scheduling, long-term academic planning, career exploration and placement assistance services. The extracurricular activities offered to the students include sports, theater and arts, instrumental and vocal music and students clubs. It offers undergraduate degrees in a variety of subjects that include anthropology, aviation and airway science, biotechnology, business administration and management, computer science and information systems. Minnesota State Colleges and Universities also offers various financial grants and scholarships for students and is located in St. Paul, Minn.
