Minnesota Population Center is a cooperative agency, which specializes in demographic research. It serves more than 50 faculty members and research associates from over 10 colleges and nearly 20 departments at the University of Minnesota. The center employs more than 100 research support personnel, including technicians, research assistants, computer programmers, and administrative and data-entry staff. It develops and disseminates demographic data, and it serves over 25,000 researchers worldwide. The center also provides shared infrastructure for demographic analysis and administration. It serves various externally sponsored research collaborations across departments and colleges. In addition, the center organizes specialized forums, workshops and symposia on topics related to population research. Minnesota Population Center is located in Minneapolis.
