The Minnesota Bluegrass Old-Time Music Association (MBOTMA) is a non-profit organization founded in 1975, dedicated to preserving and promoting bluegrass and old-time stringband music in and around the state of Minnesota. With close to 1000 members and 100 member bands, MBOTMA hosts three festivals each year, along with jam sessions and special events, bringing traditional acoustic music to the Upper Midwest.
MBOTMA's mission is to create a community of like-minded individuals who share a love for bluegrass, old-time string band, and related acoustic music genres. Through their events and activities, they provide opportunities for musicians of all experience levels to learn and play together, fostering a vibrant and inclusive music scene in Minnesota.
