As a child in Duluth, Minnesota, I was inspired by the beauty of nature and the changing of seasons to create art that would tell a story. Whether the story was one of exploration, closure, peace, or oneness with the world, I worked in a number of mediums and studied various subjects to find a voice of my own as an artist. After a formal training in the Fine Arts Program at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, I continued my studies at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis College of Art and Design and Atelier Lack in Minneapolis before serving as the Workshop Chair of the Northstar Watercolor Society in the Twin Cities. Today, my body of work exhibits a passion for two distincts styles: representational and abstract. Belonging to the same journey, my different styles are similar in their introspective messages and, of course, the distinct nature of being my own.
