Kasson-Mantorville Elementary School offers an extensive curriculum that includes reading, writing, mathematics, science, arts, music, and physical and special education. Its special education curriculum includes emotional and behavioral disorder and learning and developmental cognitive disability services. Located in Kassan, Minn., the school serves more than 800 students from kindergarten through grade four. It employs certified teachers, counselors, coordinators, speech and language specialists and support staff to assist students in the learning process. The school conducts a special reading and language program, which uses a skill-based phonetic approach combined with literature to provide students with a good foundation for the reading and writing process. It also organizes Accelerated Reader and Computer Curriculum Corporation programs to enhance the reading area with technology. Its building includes a gymnasium, media center, computer laboratories, and art and music rooms.
