KARE 11 has been a prevalent landmark in the Golden Valley community since the 1970s. It is situated on the corner of Olson Memorial Highway and General Mills Boulevard.
Since its inception, the local NBC affiliate has brought quality news stories into Minnesotans' homes. The award-winning news station has a core focus of telling well-crafted, creative stories that affect people in the community. Reporters and photographers on staff are nationally recognized as being the best in the business.
Aside from what KARE 11 does on-air, the station does many things in the community as well. Some of the local programs in which KARE has been involved include "11 Who Care," which recognizes an outstanding volunteer in the Twin Cities, Toys for Tots and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
