Minnesota AIDS Project, located in Minneapolis, focuses on spreading awareness on HIV through advocacy, education and service. Founded in 1983, the organization is a nonprofit agency that enhances lives of people suffering from HIV, and offers community outreach, legal consultation and emergency financial assistance. It partners with more than 1,300 volunteers who provide a wide variety of services, such as practical, emotional and social support. Minnesota AIDS Project has served more than 5,000 HIV patients throughout Minnesota. The agency is supported financially and through employee participation by various corporate and foundation partners, including Ameriprise Financial, Bioscrip, Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS and Edwards Memorial Trust.
