Located right at the center of the Grandview Square redevelopment project, the Edina Community Library opened in its current home in 2002. The open layout of the library is brought to life by a bright color palette of blues and oranges. The library features a reading lounge, children's and teen areas, several suggested-reading racks, and even a fireplace where customers can curl up with a good book. It is one of 41 libraries operated by the Hennepin County Library system.
With a grand total of 28 different computer terminals, the library is prepared for the digital age. Sharing a building with the Edina Senior Center encourages cross-flow between the entities, library officials say, with a large population of senior citizens frequenting the location.
