Franklin Middle School located in Thief River Falls, Minn., is a public school that enrolls more than 500 students in grades six through eight. It provides an educational environment where students can discover and use their full potential, while studying at their own rate. Developing good study skills, understanding earlier materials before moving on, and good citizenship are emphasized. It provides a comprehensive educational program, including core subjects, such as mathematics, English, computer science, social studies and science. Additionally, special courses are offered which include art, music and physical education. All students are invited to take part in the school newspaper and student council. Franklin Middle School encourages all students to participate in extracurricular activities, including various sports, such as basketball, volleyball and football.
