Established in 1969, Gerard Treatment Programs is a residential program offering medical treatment and psychotherapy to children and adolescents suffering from emotional and behavioral disorders. The program offers a wide range of services, such as individual, group and family therapies, psychological assessments, medical treatment, sex education and treatment for learning disabilities and chemical dependency. Additionally, the program provides on-site schooling and educational programs to residents. Gerard Treatment Programs is approved by the Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services. It is located in Austin, Minn., and is operated by Nexus, which is a nonprofit organization providing medical and therapeutic assistance to youth.
