Flying Cloud is a general and corporate aviation airport located in western Eden Prairie. It was built in 1941 just before the outbreak of World War II as a naval air training station.
Today, it is one of the nation's busiest general aviation airports. It has three runways from 2,700 to 5,000 feet in length and is the home to dozens of flight services and maintenance/storage companies.
The FAA restricts aircraft size to a maximum of 60,000 gross pounds.
