Based in New Ulm, Minn., Brown County Family Services is a government program created to meet the physical/emotional/safety needs of children and families. The department provides an array of services, including protection for children, adults from neglect, abuse/exploitation, preservation of families, community-based/residential care, along with fostering self-support and self-sufficiency. It also offers other social services under mental health, chemical dependency, adult protection/community senior services, day care and foster care licensing. Additionally, Brown County Family Services caters to families requiring financial assistance, child support and transportation.
