Established in 1888, the Fire Department operates under the city government of White Bear Lake in Minnesota. It is a public safety agency that provides fire prevention and suppression and emergency medical services for residents and visitors, as well as other contracted communities. The department oversees a staff of more than 55 employees. The Fire Department offers a variety of fire extinguisher training and arson awareness and education programs for children and adults. It also provides smoke detectors for area residents. The department conducts annual fire inspections for commercial establishments, multifamily residences and public school buildings. In addition, the Fire Department offers advanced life support ambulance services.
