History
CAFAC got its start in 2004 with the SPEAK Project, a public art project that gave inner-city kids the opportunity to design, fabricate, and install metal sculpture in their neighborhoods. With assistance from local non-profit developer Artspace, CAFAC opened the doors to its newly renovated facility in late 2010. Since then, the organization has launched programming in a variety of areas, offering classes to both adults and youth, and opened a small storefront gallery. CAFAC continues to be involved in many community-based public art projects and is proud to have its home at 38th and Chicago in South Minneapolis.
