History
Becker Furniture World was founded in 1978 by the Huseby family. Doug and Julie started the venture with just 500 square feet of showroom. Through the 1980s, Doug wholesaled furniture to other dealers and even manufactured furniture in addition to the retail store. In 1986, Becker's tremendous growth caused the business to focus just on the retail store. During the 1990s and into the early 2000s, Becker Furniture World continued to grow. In 2010, to better service our customers, Becker Furniture World began a massive year expansion plan: updating the flagship Becker location, opening satellite store locations in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area and the introduction of mattress only stores, Becker Mattress. From 2010 to 2016, Becker Furniture World opened locations in Burnsville, Blaine, Roseville, Maple Grove, Woodbury, Apple Valley and Minnetonka. Today, Becker Furniture World is locally owned and operated by Huseby family and their dedicated staff and are continuing to grow.
