Adam's Hill Park is known by most Richfield residents for its large and steep sledding hill, but prior to 1981 the land was a marshy storm water holding area. The holding area was not large enough to handle the amount of overflow. Since then, the city has redeveloped the land to installed a larger holding pond, with a water pump on the south side of the park. In addition, walking paths, sports courts and playground equipment have been updated to complete the park. There is also open field space to create soccer or football fields. The park is located on the far west side of the city, close to the Edina/Richfield border.
