West Michigan Cancer Center, established in 1992, is a joint venture of Borgess Medical Center and Bronson Methodist Hospital. The center offers cancer treatment, therapies and contemporary clinical procedures. Its Breast Cancer Clinic provides review of medical records prior to the initial consultation and offers education materials. Its Cancer Resource Center offers books, videotapes, audiotapes and pamphlets on cancer, cancer treatment options and other related topics. It also offers the services of social workers, psychologists, dieticians, nutritionists and personal coach, as well as on-site pharmacy, short-term and financial counseling, transportation assistance, and lodging and accommodations. The center treats more than 50,000 patients a year and is affiliated with the National Cancer Institute, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, American Cancer Society and the Cancer Hope Network. West Michigan Cancer Center is located in Kalamazoo, Mich.
