Lutheran Child and Family Service of Michigan is a nonprofit organization that serves children and families in need. It offers services in association with various communities, government organizations, foundations, churches, businesses and individuals. In operation for more than 90 years, the organization serves over 15,000 people every year. It also provides adoption, foster care placement, family preservation and counseling services. The organization offers treatment services for individuals suffering from substance abuse. In addition, it provides assisted living services for people with mental illnesses. Lutheran Child and Family Service of Michigan employs nearly 250 people, as well as offers maternal and infant support services. It is accredited by the National Council on Accreditation and is a member of the Alliance for Children and Families and the Michigan Federation of Private Child and Family Agencies.
