Located on the north side of Walnut Lake Road just east of Halsted Road, St. Thomas has served Metro Detroit's 120,000-strong Chaldean community since 1992 before moving in to its current home in 1998. Led by pastor Frank Kalabat, the church offers masses in Chaldean, Arabic and English and features a beautiful grotto on the north side of the area used for prayer and reflection.
The church is active with the Chaldean Federation and the Chaldean-American Ladies of Charity in the Adopt-a-Refugee charity program and the Helping Hands program to help those in need internationally and locally.
