St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church was established in Detroit in 1942. Its current location on Ford Road was dedicated in 1962. The church serves the spiritual and national needs of Armenians in southeastern Michigan, and is one of the Churches of the Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church of America under jurisdiction of the Holy See of Cilicia. Also located on its campus are the Armenian Community Center, a parochial school and the Armenian Senior Citizens Towers. The St. Sarkis Fellowship Club meets monthly.
