St. Clair County Sheriff s Office works to provide law enforcement services, deter criminal activities, maintain law and order, and protect lives and property. It also supports the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program, which helps children avoid involvement with drugs, gangs and violence. The department operates a communication center that responds to police, fire and medical emergencies and handles more than 40,000 calls. St. Clair County Sheriff s Office is comprised of over 100 full-time law enforcement and civilian employees. It undertakes victim advocate unit handles issues related to domestic violence, juvenile crime, sexual offenses, traffic accidents, personal injury and drug abuse.
