West Catholic High School
Founded in 1962, West Catholic High School is a private, coeducational school that enrolls more than 600 students in grades nine through 12. Its academic curriculum includes English, fine arts, foreign languages, mathematics, physical education, science, social studies and technology education. The school provides various extracurricular activities and student organizations, such as art, chess, debate, French, Spanish and varsity clubs; the National Honor Society; Science Olympiad; a student government; yearbook; quiz bowl; and mock trial. In addition, it provides several athletic activities, including basketball, cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, swimming, soccer, tennis, bowling, wrestling, volleyball, hockey, softball, tennis and track. The school is approved by the North Central Association and is a member of the National Association of College Admissions Counselors and the National Catholic Education Association. West Catholic High School is located in Grand Rapids, Mich.
