Waste Water Treatment Plant is a facility that has a design flow of more than 30 million gallons a day. The facility spreads across an area of over 35 acres. It cleans wastewater generated by residential, industrial and commercial facilities. Waste Water Treatment Plant has various pumping stations. The facility features primary and secondary treatment processes to remove excessive chlorine and kill harmful organisms. In addition, it includes a laboratory that conducts a variety of tests to monitor dissolved oxygen and suspended solids. Waste Water Treatment Plant has a maintenance section that is responsible for managing equipment. The facility is part of the Public Services Department, which is governed by the city of Saginaw in Michigan.
