After a prolific career in engineering and management that has spanned over three decades and six countries, Subodh Sharma founded Oak Tree Consulting, LLC in June of 2002, with the goal of providing practical and cost effective performance improvement services to industrial and commercial organizations. Drawing on his extensive experience in Thermoplastics Compounding and Plastics Composites, he brings a refreshing and practical' approach to solving problems often seen in this industry. Subodh started his career in Thermoplastics manufacturing when he joined Alloy Polymers, Inc of Richmond, Virginia in the early eighties during the company's start-up phase. At Alloy he played a major role in transforming the company into one of the major custom compounding organizations in the US. Later Ticona Celstran, Inc ( a subsidiary of Celanese AG. ), Subodh headed the Productivity Improvement Task Force that was responsible for turning around Ticona's Long Fiber Thermoplastics Materials' business by identifying and resolving key performance and quality issues that stood in the way of customer acceptance. As a result of this performance improvement initiative Celstran emerged as the global leader in the Long Fiber Thermoplastics Materials industry. In addition to his dedication and experience with the technical side of the plastics industry, Subodh has worked with diverse groups of people on conflict resolution as well as team building. Subodh is also active in his community through service and volunteer work. In the past he has helped the students in his community in career and decision making. He also gives talks at educational institutions about his experiences while working in diverse and challenging cultural settings. Subodh has also spoken in many community events about overcoming difficulties and facing life's challenges. He especially enjoys speaking about his personal experiences to people recovering from serious illnesses such as heart disease, bringing them a message of hope and inspiration.
