Olivia Leson received both her bachelor and master degrees in social work from Western Michigan University after obtaining an associate degree at Kellogg Community College. She has provided counseling services to residents and non-residents to primary and secondary victims of intimate partner violence and sex trafficking using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma informed counseling techniques. Her experience includes working as a counselor and legal advocate for these victims and their families, providing assistance to callers on crisis hotlines, and suicide prevention work. Leson joined Oaklawn in 2021.
