Northville Center for Music and Art is a unique experience for lovers of music and art. If you're looking to learn to play an instrument, whether it is a violin, guitar, mandolin, hammered dulcimer, drums, or any other type of instrument, you can have individual or group lessons from their expert music instructors.Your rock band or chamber group can practice, rehearse, cut a recording, or have a party in one of their 15 studios. You can even play in the beautiful courtyard in front of their building. If you don't have an instrument, you can buy or rent just about any type of instrument from their sister business Broughton Music and Art Center, which is located in the courtyard adjacent to the Music and Art Center studios. If you're more interested in art, the center also offers classes on ceramics, sculpture, drawing, painting and more. Finally, if you are looking for a fun evening and want to entertain or be entertained, come to their "open mic" sessions on Wednesdays from 7-9 pm. Entertainment may include anything from poetry readings and comedy to rock band concerts.
