Milan Township is a civil township in Monroe County. The population of Milan Township was 1,670 in the 2000 census. The northern part of the township was once part of the Village of Milan, but the township became a completely separate entity when the village became a city in 1967. The township is governed by a five-person board, featuring a supervisor, clerk, treasurer and two trustees. The Milan Township Board meets at 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month.
