Michigan CardioVascular Institute, founded in 1998, is a group of physicians that provide cardiovascular services to patients throughout northeastern and central Michigan. Its specialties include atrial fibrillation, CT scans, coreg titration, smoking cessation and counterpulsation endovenous laser therapies. It offers a wide range of services, such as emergency cardiac care, 24-hours consultation, heart care and disease management, and cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. It organizes a variety of events that include smoking cessation classes, cardiac risk evaluations, women's health initiative, riverwalk and cardiopulmonary resuscitation training. Its staff includes cardiologists, surgeons, nurses and internal medicine specialists. Michigan CardioVascular Institute Foundation offers more than $1,000 scholarship annually. The institute is located in Saginaw, Mich.
