Founded in 1993, the Macomb Correctional Facility is located on 100 acres of land. The prison facility includes nearly 12 big and small buildings, and contains Level I, Level II and Level IV housing units. Its facility also includes a school, support services department, storage space and administration offices. Located in New Haven, Mich., the prison conducts several educational programs for inmates, including special education, general education development preparation, adult basic education and various vocational classes. Its staff works closely with various community groups and encourages community volunteer participation. The Macomb Correctional Facility also offers routine health and dental care, as well as emergency services for inmates. It is a correction facility for males of all ages.
