Dr. Marie Brown received a bachelor of fine arts degree in biology from Albion College and continued her education at Northumbria University in the United Kingdom where she obtained a diploma of Higher Education in Biomedical Sciences. She completed medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine in the West Indies and her family medicine residency at MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland, Michigan. Dr. Brown was an associate professor at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine where she instructed medical students during their inpatient and outpatient family medicine, obstetrics, emergency, and elective medicine rotations. She was also a clinical instructor at Central Michigan University College of Medicine and a teaching assistant for biology at Albion College. Dr. Brown also has extensive community service experience serving as a high school football sideline physician, lecturing to high school health classes, volunteering for the underserved community, and traveling to Honduras to help with medical clinics in various communities in the rural area. She is board certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Michigan American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Medical Association.
