The Michigan District, LCMS is a district of The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, serving over 346 churches, 4 missions, 5 high schools, 68 elementary schools, and 131 early childhood centers in the state of Michigan. With a dedicated Board of Directors and District President, they provide ecclesiastical supervision, manage business affairs, and allocate funds to support the national and district budgets.
Through their District Facilitators, experienced staff members are deployed to strengthen and support local churches and schools, while the Department of Lutheran Schools works with congregations to provide Christ-centered educational choices for children. The Michigan District Development Department raises awareness and financial support for various ministries, including missional initiatives, church worker scholarships, international ministry, disaster relief, and more. The District Stewardship Committee promotes Biblical Stewardship Principles and provides resources to congregations for their stewardship programming.
