Library Street Collective is a contemporary art gallery and project space located in the vibrant East Village neighborhood of Detroit. With a focus on connecting Detroit to the international arts community, the gallery presents exhibitions, public projects, and performance events that showcase the work of both local and international artists.
As part of their commitment to fostering artistic dialogue, Library Street Collective is involved in the development of the East Village Cultural Art District, which includes the transformation of historic buildings into cultural arts centers such as the Shepherd, a Romanesque-style church turned into a multi-faceted arts center, and LANTERN, a bold new paradigm for arts education and public space designed by OMA. Additionally, the gallery is set to open the new headquarters for contemporary art gallery and project space Louis Buhl Co. in late 2024.
