The Lewis Cass Intermediate School District is a regional service center that provides special education, instructional services and career technical education coordination for local school districts. It works with a team of more than 175 staff members. It serves the residents of Cass, Berrien, St. Joseph and Van Buren counties in southwestern Michigan. The Lewis Cass Intermediate School District serves over 8,000 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The district coordinates school improvement and support services that education for individuals with developmental disabilities. It also offers gifted and talented education programs for students with special needs. The Lewis Cass Intermediate School District operates a technology laboratory. The district also has a transportation department.
