History
My professional journey began in undergrad with a double major in Psychology and Spanish. I then went on to Chicago for a Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. In my second year of graduate school I interned for 9 months at Community Mental Health Centers of Chicago, working with children, teens, and adults. After finishing my Master's degree in counseling, I worked for 1.5 years at a therapeutic high school in the suburbs of Chicago. I gained many experiences with high school students ages 13-19 from various cultural backgrounds. I then decided to return home to Michigan to be closer to family and have been working in the Metro-Detroit area since that time, including private practice, partial day hospital program, and college counseling. I have been providing outpatient therapy in the Southfield community for over two years and feel very privileged each day I get to help clients along on their healing journeys.
